Case Study: Aspirations Career Guidance Program
This program is intended to assist Year 9 students begin thinking about their pathways into the ‘world of work’. The program combines industry guest speakers with site visits and student workbook activities. It was created by the Order of Australia Association’s Western Australian Branch and has now been successfully run at several Western Australian schools.

Career Development and Youth Mentoring Conference Day
This was a conference day organised by the National Partnership on Youth Attainment and Transitions Career Development Steering Group for school teachers, pastoral carers, school leaders and career development practitioners to network and discuss issues related to Career Development and Mentoring.
Participants had the opportunity to:
- Link the elements of the Western Australian Guidelines for Career Development and Transitions and the Western Australian Youth Mentoring Reform Strategic Framework;
- Gain an understanding of what mentoring light look like in a school setting, especially for those young people in transition and;
- Access, analyse and evaluate relevant research documents.
